📶 Staying connected: SIM, eSIM or pocket Wi-Fi
You'll use data all day for maps, tickets and translation. Korea makes it easy with three options; sort it out before you land or at the airport.
Paso a paso
- eSIM: easiest if your phone supports itBuy online and scan the QR code to activate. Check that your phone is eSIM-compatible first.
- Physical USIMSold at airport roaming centers, convenience stores (CU, GS25, 7-Eleven, Emart24) and online for airport pickup.
- Pocket Wi-Fi (Wi-Fi egg)Rent one at an airport roaming center. Handy if friends share it.
- Airport roaming centersMajor airports have counters run by KT, SK Telecom and LG U+ for SIMs, Wi-Fi rentals and roaming.
- Think about text messagesSome Korean services send codes or winner notices by text. If you plan to use them, check whether your plan includes a phone number.

Antes de ir
- Free public Wi-Fi is available in most airports, subway stations, train stations and some bus stops.
- Korea uses 220V/60Hz with two-round-pin outlets, so pack an adapter.
