🎂 Planning a trip for Han, Felix and Seungmin's birthdays in September 2027
Han's birthday is September 14, Felix's is September 15 and Seungmin's is September 22. In 2027 Chuseok runs from Tuesday September 14 to Thursday September 16, so the birthday cafés for Han and Felix fall on the same days as the holiday. That changes how you book trains, hotels and meals. Café lists come out a few weeks before, so this guide is about the planning you can do now.
Step by step
- The dates in 2027Han: Tuesday September 14. Felix: Wednesday September 15. Seungmin: Wednesday September 22. A trip from about September 12 to 23 covers all three birthday weeks; if you only have a few days, pick either the Han & Felix days or Seungmin's day.
- Chuseok overlaps Han and FelixChuseok, the harvest holiday, is September 14–16, 2027 (the main day is Wednesday the 15th). Many Koreans travel to their hometowns, and some small cafés and restaurants close for one or more days. Check each place's hours on Naver Map or Kakao Map the day before you go.
- Book long-distance trips earlyTrain and express bus seats around Chuseok sell out fast. If you want a Busan or Suwon day in the same trip, book as soon as booking opens, or plan it for the days after the holiday.
- Book your stay early tooMid-September is busy, and more so in a holiday week. Book a room near Hongik Univ. Stn or another Line 2 station early, as many birthday cafés cluster around Hongdae, Yeonnam and Mangwon.
- When the café lists come outFan hosts usually announce birthday cafés two to four weeks ahead, so start checking from late August. Joint cafés for Han and Felix, whose birthdays are a day apart, are common. Our guide to finding birthday cafés shows where to look.
- Pack for warm daysSeptember in Seoul is still warm, about 26 °C by day and 18 °C at night, and early-month rain is possible. Bring light clothes, a thin layer for air-conditioned cafés and a small umbrella.
- Fill the gaps between cafésBetween café visits, try the places the members ate at on camera, or a Line 9 half day for Han. Our member food guides and courses have the addresses.

Before you go
- On Chuseok day itself (Sep 15, 2027) plan fewer stops and check hours twice. Places that open may change their hours.
- Café goodies often run out on the first day and on the birthday itself. Going on a weekday morning helps.
- Keep a T-money or climate card topped up. Subways run as usual during Chuseok.
